Holy Family Virika Hospital successfully held its Annual Health Assembly Day on 13th November 2025, under the theme: “Enhancing Quality Patient-Centered Care through Innovation and Partnerships.” Bringing together healthcare providers, partners, community representatives, and stakeholders for a day of reflection, learning, and renewed commitment to quality healthcare delivery.
This year’s assembly focused on improving service delivery, strengthening community engagement, and advancing the hospital’s mission of compassionate and patient-centered care. The event provided a platform to review performance over the past year, highlight key achievements, and discuss strategies to address emerging health challenges within the region.
We were honored to host Hon. Margaret Muhanga Mugisa as the Guest of Honour. In her remarks, she commended the hospital for its continued dedication to delivering essential health services, particularly in maternal and child health, and its role in supporting national health priorities. She encouraged the hospital team to keep embracing innovation, professionalism, and integrity in service delivery.
During the assembly, departmental heads presented updates and performance insights, focusing on improved clinical outcomes, advancements in digital health adoption, community outreach efforts, and ongoing infrastructure improvements. Additionally, special appreciation was extended to staff members whose exceptional service contributed significantly to the hospital’s mission over the past year.
The Annual Health Assembly Day remains a vital tradition for Holy Family Virika Hospital—strengthening teamwork, accountability, and collective vision. We look forward to building on this year’s discussions as we continue striving for excellence in healthcare delivery for the people of Fort Portal and beyond.
